Notes: Aurelie [long name/title here], OC
A noblewoman from a pseudo-magepunk world where magic has potentially painful consequences and stigma for its wielders.
Aurelie is the heir to a title in a busy Mediterranean-esque port city. Serious, thoughtful, often worried.
While nobles in her world are often expected to be scholars and scientists, including the *theory* of magic, the *practice* is seen as unbecoming due to its effects on mages' bodies. Low mages, those who utilise magic with outside apparatus, tire from their work easily; rising mages who channel magic through their own bodies have it eat away at them.
She falls into the latter category, and lives rather a double life trying to hide it. In her day to day life, she does what she can to improve the welfare of the working mage in her city, but her world is at a point where mundane industry and magework are starting to compete in a way that's ... really not good for magic users.
